- The General Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient operations of the Tissue Manufacturing value chain at the Tissue Mill units.
Minimum requirements
- 5+ years' experience at a management level in a manufacturing environment, paper and milling industry or tissue making
- Industrial Relations Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Management, Business Administration or in the Engineering field
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills,
- Well-developed verbal, written and oral presentations communication skills,
- Employment Equity requirements: EE
Key responsibilities
- Ensure delivery and drive improvements of site Safety, Health, Environment and Risk programs,
- Lead a multidisciplinary management team to achieve business plan objectives,
- Development of an effective, capable and high performing operational organization,
- Lead, Drive and Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement in all aspects of the business,
- Determine and implement operating strategies, including optimization programs to minimize operating cost and improving product quality,
- Help in the forecasting and planning for ongoing operational needs, including technology, facilities, equipment and manpower,
- Forster and co-manage a constructive industrial relations climate at the facilities,
- Ensure compliance with all legislative, environment requirement permits
