General Manager

Description

SA Litho, a leading label manufacturing business, and part of the Caxton/CTP Group, is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead our Cape Town operation.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a proven manufacturing executive to take responsibility for the strategic direction and overall performance of a well-established business, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, sustainable growth, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the business.
• Drive operational performance, productivity, profitability, quality, and customer service excellence.
• Develop and execute business strategies aligned to the Group's objectives.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing management team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee all manufacturing, sales, commercial, supply chain, finance, and support functions.
• Build and strengthen relationships with key customers, suppliers, and business partners.
• Identify growth opportunities and drive business development initiatives.
• Manage financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure, and cost optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, health and safety, and quality requirements.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/ Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field ( or relevant RPL ).
• A postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years’ senior management experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the label printing, packaging, printing, converting, or FMCG manufacturing industry is highly advantageous.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with responsibility for budgets and profitability.
• Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Sound knowledge of labour legislation, health and safety, and quality management systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
