- CTP Flexibles, a leading flexible packaging manufacturer and part of the Caxton/CTP Group, is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead our Cape Town operation.
- This is a senior leadership opportunity for an accomplished manufacturing executive with a proven track record in driving operational excellence, commercial performance, and strategic growth within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the business.
- Drive profitability, productivity, quality, safety, and customer service.
- Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the Group's objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing management team.
- Ensure optimal production planning, manufacturing efficiency, and cost control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, health and safety, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and best-practice methodologies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing/ Operations Management, Business Management, or related field or relevant RPL.
- A postgraduate qualification MBA or equivalent will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 10 years' senior management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the printing, packaging, converting, plastics, or flexible packaging industry.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with responsibility for budgets and profitability.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Sound knowledge of labour legislation, health and safety, and quality management systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
