A well-established South African metal component manufacturer is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead its next phase of growth. The business provides an end-to-end manufacturing solution, from product development and tooling design through to production and finishing, and supplies customers across several sectors. This is not a traditional office-based General Manager role. The successful candidate must be a hands-on manufacturing leader who is equally comfortable on the factory floor, engaging with customers, developing managers and reporting to the Board of Directors.
Reporting directly to the Board, the General Manager will assume overall responsibility for the leadership and performance of the business. Initially, the role will focus on strengthening operational discipline, workflow and production planning, mentoring managers and supervisors and establishing management systems that support growth. As the business develops, the focus should progressively shift towards strategic leadership, business development and organisational growth

Desired Experience & Qualification
☐ Relevant Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or Business degree
☐ 8–15 years’ manufacturing experience
☐ Minimum 5 years’ senior operational leadership experience
☐ Metal spinning, stamping, fabrication or related manufacturing experience
☐ Proven operational, productivity and team improvements
☐ Strong commercial and customer management experience
☐ Operational budgeting and financial management experience
☐ Hands-on factory leadership and Board reporting experience
Package & Remuneration
R1,100,000 CTC per year
