Key Responsibilities / Hoofverantwoordelikhede

• General management of the full operation.

• Management of breeding farms.

• Management and development of personnel.

• Oversee production and breeding programmes.

• Support the nutrition programmes.

• Management of the distribution and trading of genetics.

• Manage and develop client relationships.

• Drive commercial growth.

• Identify and resolve operational problems.

• Oversee the quality and productivity of the breeding programmes.

• Management of the overall commercial and production performance of the business.

• Hou toesig oor die kwaliteit en produktiwiteit van die teelprogramme.

• Bestuur van die algehele kommersiële en produksieprestasie van die onderneming.

Minimum Requirements / Minimum Vereistes

• A BSc or BCom qualification in a relevant field such as Agriculture, Animal Production, Agricultural Economics, Financial Management, Industrial Engineering or a similar commercial/production-focused qualification.

• A relevant professional or financial background such as a CA will be advantageous.

• Minimum 5 years of strong commercial and production insight experience.

• Experience in livestock production, pig production, crop farming, agricultural economics,

agricultural commercial operations or a similar agricultural environment will be advantageous.

• Strong commercial and management skills.

• Client relationship management skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• Good financial and operational understanding.

• Ability to understand production and breeding programmes.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required by the agricultural and

production industry.

•  Own reliable transport and license.

• ’n BSc- of BCom-kwalifikasie in ’n relevante veld soos Landbou, Diereproduksie, Landbou ekonomie, Finansiële Bestuur, Bedryfsingenieurswese of ’n soortgelyke

kommersiële/produksiegerigte kwalifikasie.

• ’n Relevante professionele of finansiële agtergrond soos n CA sal voordelig wees.

• Minimum 5 jaar sterk kommersiële én produksie-insig ervaring.

• Ervaring met veeproduksie, varkproduksie, saaiboerdery, landbou-ekonomie,

landboukommersiële bedrywighede of ’n soortgelyke landbou-omgewing sal voordelig wees.

• Sterk kommersiële en bestuursvaardighede.

• Kliënteverhoudingsbestuur vaardighede.

• Sterk probleemoplossings vaardighede.

• Goeie finansiële en operasionele begrip.

• Vermoë om produksie- en teelprogramme te verstaan.

• Sterk onderhandelings- en kommunikasievaardighede.

• Bereidwilligheid om te reis en buigsame ure te werk soos wat die landbou en produksiebedryf dit vereis.
