The successful candidate will support daily food service operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while delivering excellent customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and serving of meals.
- Set up and replenish food counters and beverage stations.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, dining areas, equipment, and workstations.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Receive, unpack, and store stock according to company procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation and minimize wastage.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards.
- Support catering functions, meetings, and special events as required.
- Deliver professional and friendly customer service at all times.
Skills and Competencies
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts when required.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, corporate dining, or food service environment will be advantageous.
