GC - Swimming Coach (Part time)

This is a part-time coaching position. The coach will be employed on a fixed-term contract, with remuneration aligned to their expertise and coaching level. Girls’ College invites applications for the above-mentioned position which will be available from 1 January 2027. We welcome applications from qualified and experienced individuals who are confident in their skills and competencies to excel in this role. The requirements for this position are: Daily morning training sessions as well as one gala day per week. Availability for all training sessions and galas. Be involved in the Learn to Swim program. Coaching and management of a swimming team – Setting up team lists etc. Working with other swimming coaches Individual and holistic development of students as social and high-level athletes The ideal candidate should have: A minimum of 2 years’ coaching experience at Open level. A competitive level (post matric) or coaching experience in a school, university or club environment is preferred. A professional Degree in Phys Ed, Sports Science or Sports Administration would be an added advantage. An awareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approach. Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance
