The College invites applications for the above-mentioned part-time coaching position which will be available from 7 September 2026 . The coach will be paid on a fixed-term contract (two months) according to their expertise and level. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who believe they have the required skills, passion and competencies to take on this position. Requirements : Proven performance of coaching and mentoring student athletes; including experience in the pastoral space Relevant sport-related qualifications Clearance from the National Register for Sex Offenders (NRSO) confirming no record of sexual offences against children and mentally impaired people or a valid police clearance certificate Ability to manage practices and work nights and/or weekends Conflict management skills Proven ability to work with diverse teams and/or a commitment to diversity and inclusion Understands and adheres to the by-laws, policies, procedures, regulations, and rules of St Stithians College Responsibilities : The coaching of students during team practices (planning and executing of practice sessions) The attendance and coaching of students at home and away fixtures (including all relevant tournaments and/or festivals) Complete attendance registers and capture relevant data at all practices Write termly sport comments for each student and submit them timeously to the relevant TIC Committed to the development of each player and help students develop in the sport, and teach good sportsmanship Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop effective working relationships with athletes, coaching staff, parents and staff that support athletics. The attendance and coaching of students at athletics meets, in Gauteng. Work collaboratively with other coaches and the greater athletics community Represent the Girls’ College at relevant events with honour and pride
