Start free — we apply for you →We are looking for a part-time, on-call gardener / front of house person to join our team at Medindi Manor, an upmarket guest house in Rosebank, Cape Town. You must be fit and well-presented with a winning smile and happy to communicate with guests and management in English, when required.
You will be undertaking the daily gardening and maintenance tasks, and cleaning rooms and bathrooms in the 15 bedrooms and common areas at the guest house as required; so a strong knowledge of gardening, or interest in gardening is required. You will be trained in front-of-house duties over time, if suited.
You must have a reliable phone with whatsapp as most of the guest house operations are conducted by whatsapp.
Own reliable car and a valid South African drivers’ licence is a seriously strong advantage.
Computer skills a advantage.
Hours are 9 hour shifts usually starting at 06h00. You will be expected to work on weekends and public holidays on a rostered basis.
Starting wages R750 to R900 per day, depending on experience. Monthly pay is split between a daily rate, a bonus for excellent performance and subsidies for cellphone and transport to and from work.
Part-time and on-call until around mid-December and full-time after that if all goes well.
Age 18 to 35.
Must already live permanently in Cape Town.
