Centurion Careers is recruiting an experienced Garage / Fuel Station Manager for a busy fuel station in the Midstream, Centurion area .
We are looking for a hands-on manager with previous garage / petrol station management experience who understands the full day-to-day running of a fuel station, including forecourt operations, staff supervision, cash controls, fuel management, stock control, customer service and general site administration.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the garage / fuel station
- Supervise petrol attendants, cashiers and other site staff
- Prepare and manage staff rosters, attendance and leave
- Ensure excellent customer service at all times
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
- Monitor fuel levels, fuel deliveries and wet-stock
- Complete or oversee daily fuel reconciliations, tank readings and variances
- Manage convenience-store and general stock levels
- Conduct and oversee regular stock takes
- Control stock losses, shortages and discrepancies
- Oversee cash-ups, card transactions and daily financial controls
- Ensure all monies and transactions balance correctly
- Monitor site cleanliness and overall presentation
- Coordinate general maintenance and report pump or equipment faults
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational procedures
- Manage staff performance and daily task allocation
- Assist with disciplinary matters where required
- Maintain accurate operational and administrative records
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers
- Ensure the garage operates efficiently and professionally
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Previous garage / fuel station experience is essential
- Previous experience as a Fuel Station Manager, Site Manager, Garage Manager, Forecourt Manager or similar
- Strong understanding of fuel station operations
- Experience with fuel and stock control
- Good cash-handling and reconciliation experience
- Previous staff-management experience
- Strong administration and numerical skills
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Reliable, honest and hands-on
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable own transport
- Must live in or within reasonable travelling distance of Midstream / Centurion
- Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
Desired Experience & Qualification

Package & Remuneration
R20 000 - R25 000 Basic

Weekday shifts
07:00 – 16:00 or 08:30 – 18:00, rotated weekly.
Every second weekend
Saturday: 07:00 – 18:00
Sunday: 07:00 – 18:00
A weekday off will be provided to maintain a 5-day working week .
