About the Role

As the Game Lodge General Manager for Ditholo Game Lodge, you will oversee the daily operations, create a seamless and exceptional guest experience whilst managing a team dedicated to hospitality in a bushveld environment. This role focuses on strategic planning, operational excellence, and leading a passionate team within a unique and vibrant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of lodge operations, including guest services, food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve key performance metrics, including occupancy rates and guest satisfaction scores.
• Cultivate positive relationships with guests and achieve high-quality service delivery throughout their stay.
• Manage budgeting and financial reporting to maintain the lodge's profitability while adhering to operational standards.
• Recruit, train, and mentor lodge staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional development.

• Collaborate with local suppliers and partners to enhance lodge offerings and support the community. • Achieve and maintain compliance with regards to any health, safety, and environmental regulations. Requirements:

• Proven track record in hospitality management, preferably in a luxury or eco-tourism environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of wildlife conservation practices and a genuine passion for sustainable tourism.
• Problem-solving orientation and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment

Preferred Qualifications and experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field will be an advantage.
• Certification in Wildlife Management or Conservation would also be an advantage.
• Experience within the hospitality and tourism sector.
• Familiarity with South African tourism regulations and industry standards.

Package & Remuneration
