- Performing the cremation of bodies.
- Maintaining crematoria facilities grounds and infrastructure.
- Maintaining allocated small plant and equipment in a clean and functional condition.
- Assisting members of the general public.
- Observing emission from the smoke stake to ensure that smoke emission is minimal.
- Moving the coffin from the chapel to the committal chamber by engaging electronic as required.

Special Conditions

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform the duties and functions of the post.
Qualifications Essential Requirements:
- Grade 12 NQF Level 4 or equivalent.
- Certification of competency in the operation of small plant and equipment to be acquired within 6 months from appointment.
- 3 Months relevant experience.
Preferred Requirements
- 6 Months relevant experience.
