Full-stack Software Developer

Description

Our client operates in the property management industry, specialising in the financial and administrative management of high-volume residential property portfolios. With a strong focus on technology and automation, they develop and maintain software solutions to streamline financial, accounting, compliance and operational processes. They are seeking an experienced Full-stack Software Developer who is comfortable working across modern web applications, established .NET systems, SQL Server databases and cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on development role where the successful candidate will develop, maintain and enhance web applications, working across front-end interfaces, backend services, APIs and databases.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or Software Development (advantageous).

• Minimum 3 years' commercial software development experience, preferably 3–5 years or more.

• Proven full-stack software development experience.

• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to understand Afrikaans.

Technical Requirements Essential

• C# / VB.NET / ASP.NET development experience.

• HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.

• Microsoft SQL Server, including writing and optimising SQL queries, stored procedures and database integration.

• API and web service development and integration.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Cloud / Infrastructure

• Experience working with AWS-hosted applications.

• Understanding of cloud-hosted web applications.

• Exposure to application deployment and infrastructure concepts.

• Ability to collaborate with developers responsible for cloud infrastructure.

Advantageous

• Classic ASP (used by legacy applications)

• Vue.js.

• Ionic.

• Bootstrap.

• Git or other version control systems.

• CI/CD exposure. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance full-stack web applications.

• Implement user interfaces based on designs provided by the UI Designer.

• Develop and maintain backend application functionality using C#/.NET.

• Develop and integrate APIs and web services.

• Develop, modify and optimise SQL Server queries and stored procedures.

• Maintain and extend existing .NET and legacy applications.

• Troubleshoot production issues, resolve defects and optimise application performance.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and other stakeholders.

• Participate in testing, deployment and ongoing application enhancements.

• Contribute to the continued development and modernisation of the company's cloud-hosted software platform. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is:

• A technically strong, hands-on Full-stack Software Developer with excellent analytical ability.

• Comfortable working across modern and legacy Microsoft technologies.

• Experienced in SQL Server, APIs and backend integrations.

• Familiar with AWS-hosted applications and cloud environments.

• Able to understand existing codebases and enhance or modernise functionality.

• Capable of taking ownership of development tasks from implementation through deployment.

• Collaborative, pragmatic and quality-focused.
