Full Stack Developer - Web & Mobile - Mid to Senior - (Contract) - On-site - Centurion

Duties & Responsibilities

ENVIRONMENT: A leading technology driven organisation is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join its development team in Centurion. This role is suited to a strong developer with experience building modern web and mobile applications using Vue.js, Capacitor and C# .NET Core.  The successful candidate will work across the full application stack, developing responsive front end functionality, mobile applications and scalable backend APIs. You will also be involved in application deployments, including App Store administration and submissions, and the deployment and support of applications within Microsoft Azure.  This is a hands on development role requiring strong technical capability across both front end and backend development. DUTIES: Full Stack Development

• Design, develop, test and maintain web and mobile application functionality.
• Develop responsive and user friendly front end applications using Vue.js.
• Build and maintain cross platform mobile applications using Capacitor.
• Develop robust and scalable backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core.
• Integrate front end and mobile applications with backend APIs and third party services.
• Develop clean, maintainable and reusable code in line with development standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects across the full technology stack.

Mobile Application Development

• Develop and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android using Capacitor.
• Manage mobile application builds, releases and versioning.
• Assist with App Store and Google Play Store administration.
• Manage or contribute to mobile application submission and release processes.
• Troubleshoot issues relating to mobile builds, deployments and store submissions.
• Ensure mobile applications meet relevant platform and store requirements.

API & Backend Development

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using C# and .NET Core.
• Develop integrations between internal applications, mobile applications and external services.
• Ensure APIs are secure, scalable and performant.
• Maintain and enhance existing backend services.
• Participate in database and data integration requirements where applicable.

Azure & Deployment

• Deploy and support applications using Azure App Services.
• Assist with application configuration across development, test and production environments.
• Troubleshoot application and deployment issues within Azure.
• Work with the wider technical team to improve application deployment and release processes.

Software Development Lifecycle

• Participate in technical analysis, solution design and development estimation.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to development standards.
• Write appropriate unit and integration tests.
• Participate in testing, debugging and production support.
• Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders and other technical teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and application quality.

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or a related field is advantageous.
• Approximately 4 to 8+ years of professional software development experience, depending on level.
• Strong commercial experience with Vue.js.
• Strong experience developing applications using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Commercial experience with Capacitor for mobile application development.
• Experience developing and maintaining iOS and Android applications.
• Experience with App Store administration and application submissions.
• Strong backend development experience using C# and .NET Core.
• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications using Microsoft Azure App Services.
• Solid understanding of modern software development principles and practices.
• Experience with Git or similar source control tools.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work across both front end and backend technologies.
