Start free — we apply for you →iqbusiness is seeking to employ a Full Stack Developer on a 12-month contract to collaborate with an international client from our offices in Welgemoed, Cape Town, Northern Suburbs. This is a hybrid role (3 days on-site; 2 days WFH).
As a Full Stack Developer with experience in React and Node.js, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business requirements and modern development best practices. The ideal candidate has strong React experience and solid backend development skills using Node.js. Key Responsibilities :
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements for web applications • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using React and Node.js • Build reusable UI components using Tailwind CSS • Integrate third-party APIs and services • Conduct code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables • Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices Minimum Requirements :
• Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 3+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Developer using React and Node.js • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript • AI Native or AI-enabled background • Experience with GitHub for version control • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and DevOps practices • Familiarity with SQL Server or Postgres • Exposure to Python and Java is advantageous • Understanding of modern web development standards and best practices • Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus Skills Required :
