We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer (Advanced) to join a dynamic technology environment focused on building scalable, secure and innovative enterprise applications powered by Generative AI and modern cloud technologies.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a flexible self-service platform that enables employees to leverage Generative AI, AI agents and enterprise knowledge services to automate everyday tasks and workflows. The role offers an opportunity to work across both backend and frontend development while contributing to AI platform integration, cloud engineering and modern DevOps practices
Essential & Advantageous Skills
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
GenAI, Agentic AI, RAG, AWS, Python, Angular, and MLOps exposure
Backend Development
Strong proficiency in Python 3.9+
Experience developing microservices and event-driven architectures
Experience with REST APIs and backend service design
SQL expertise (PostgreSQL preferred)
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB)
Experience with ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy / SQLModel
Frontend Development
Strong Angular (17+), TypeScript and JavaScript skills
Experience with HTML5, SCSS and responsive web design
Understanding of UI/UX principles
Ability to implement designs from Figma
Cloud & DevOps
Experience with AWS cloud services
CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance (GitHub Actions, Terraform)

Role & Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications within the GAIA ecosystem.
Develop backend services, APIs and microservices using Python.
Build modern Angular-based front-end solutions.
Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers and business stakeholders to refine requirements.
Translate business requirements into secure and maintainable technical solutions.
Integrate AI capabilities and enterprise knowledge services into GAIA applications.
Ensure code quality through unit testing, peer reviews and engineering best practices.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups and retrospectives.
Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Monitor production systems and resolve incidents.
Contribute to platform architecture decisions and technical improvements.
Document solutions according to BMW compliance and quality standards.
Support and mentor junior developers where appropriate.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI and software engineering technologies for adoption within GAIA.
Qualification/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent
qualification.
Minimum 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience with Python development.
Minimum 2–3 years of Angular development experience.
Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade cloud applications.
Experience working in Agile software delivery environments.
Experience with AWS-based solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of features from design to production.
Experience in AI, GenAI or platform engineering environments is highly desirable.
Previous exposure to large-scale enterprise platforms is advantageous.
