Our client, fruit export concern, is looking for a qualified Accountant to join their team in Wellington.
Duties & Responsibilities
Capturing and reviewing produce and related cost elements and adjustments
- Preparing and reviewing weekly payments to producers
- Sending payment remittances to producers
- Reporting on producer payment summaries
- Managing ledgers for any deductions on producer payments
- Invoicing costs back to producers
- Reconciling and reporting on balance sheet items relating to standard cost control accounts
- Onboarding new producers
- Ad hoc reporting as required
- Any other relevant accounting functions as required
Desired Experience & Qualification
Completed articles at a registered auditing firm, or a minimum of 3 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Sound experience in the fresh fruit industry is essential
- Strong computer skills and extensive experience in Excel
- Knowledge of cost accounting and standard costing principles is essential
- Experience in forex handling
