Front Office Receptionist

We are looking for a professional and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to provide a welcoming and efficient service in the Reception and Guest Services area of the hotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for checking guests in and out, as well as attending to guest queries, requests, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Check in and Check outs – individual and group processed correctly and professionally within the hotel standard and time expected

• Administration of guest preparation (registration cards etc) prior to guest arrival for groups and individuals including back up documentation and accuracy of data capture

• Process administration related to hotel loyalty enrolments as per guest loyalty procedure and standards and process applications and administer rewards

• Meet guest satisfaction questionnaire targets

• Cash handling and payment processing in line with standards including foreign currency

• Balance shift in line with audit and financial standards

• Input correct reservation and guest information into the property management system

• Identify and implement opportunities to up sell and maximise revenue

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Working proficiency in English sufficient to communicate with guests, colleagues and service providers.

• An additional Asian language, such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese or Korean, is a added advantage

• NQF Level 4 (Matric or equivalent).

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in hospitality or a customer-facing environment
