About the Opportunity
A premier luxury boutique lodge nestled in the pristine wilderness of northern KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a versatile, professional, and dynamic individual to step into a multi-faceted role. Combining Front of House management, reservations expertise, and personal assistant duties, this position is the heartbeat of our guest experience and administrative operations. Primary Responsibilities
- Reservations & Client Relations: Oversee the end-to-end booking process using Nightsbridge. Handle all guest and travel agency correspondence professionally via telephone, email, and online channels. Accurately capture details, modify bookings, and handle inquiries regarding rates, menu options, and lodge activities.
- Guest Relations & Front of House: Warmly welcome guests, conduct check-in and check-out procedures, escort guests to their rooms for orientation, and coordinate special requests or excursions. Occasional evening guest entertainment at the bar area is required.
- Administration & Finance: Manage general office administration, process invoicing, oversee payment controls, and maintain accurate accounts and financial records.
- Operations Coordination: Act as a central hub connecting Housekeeping, the Restaurant, Maintenance, and the main office. Manage staff duty/off-duty schedules, assist with stock control and regular stock takes, and step in to oversee housekeeping and restaurant flow when necessary to support all-round lodge operations.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar hospitality role (Lodge/Boutique Hotel background highly advantageous).
Proficiency in the NightsBridge booking system is essential.
Strong financial literacy with experience in invoicing, payments, and basic record-keeping.
Exceptional communication skills with a professional, problem-solving approach to customer service and complaint resolution.
A flexible, team-player attitude, willing to assist across various departments in a remote lodge environment.
Work Schedule & Structure
Daily Hours: Typically split-shift system from 08:00 to 12:00, and 14:00 to 17:00 (approximately 7 hours per day). Flexibility is required to accommodate late guest arrivals or early departures.
Leave Cycle: A structured rotation of 4 weeks on duty followed by 8 days off, with 21 days of annual leave.
