We are looking for ambitious, organised and eager-to-learn individuals to join our Freight Forwarding Learnership Programme .
Successful candidates will receive practical workplace exposure within a busy freight forwarding environment while developing skills in one of four career streams:
Duties & Responsibilities
Accounts Learnership
Ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, systems and detail.
You may gain exposure to
Supplier invoices and reconciliations
Customer invoicing
Costing and checking shipment files
Purchase orders and supporting documentation
Accounts administration
ERP and freight management systems
Financial controls and processes
Customs Learnership
Ideal for someone who is methodical, accurate and interested in rules, regulations and international trade.
You may gain exposure to
Import and export customs documentation
Commercial invoices and packing lists
Tariff classifications
Customs declarations
Import and export permits
SARS customs requirements
Compliance and document checking
Working with freight forwarding and customs systems
Sales Learnership
Ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, communicating and developing business opportunities.
You may gain exposure to
Prospecting and lead generation
Customer communication
CRM systems
Preparing sales information
Following up on opportunities
Freight quotations
Customer relationship management
Understanding international freight solutions
Operations Learnership
Ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, coordinating activities and working in a fast-moving environment.
You may gain exposure to
Sea freight and airfreight shipments
Import and export operations
Transport and delivery coordination
Shipping lines, airlines and overseas agents
Shipment documentation
Tracking and updating shipments
Warehouse and transport operations
Customer communication
Desired Experience & Qualification
Have completed Matric
Are comfortable working with computers and learning new systems
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Pay attention to detail
Are organised and dependable
Are willing to learn and accept feedback
Show initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do
Are interested in building a long-term career in freight forwarding and logistics
Previous freight forwarding experience is not required .
A relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain, accounting, business, commerce or a related field will be advantageous but is not essential, subject to the requirements of the learnership programme.
