Business Optimization Training Institute (BOTI), a Johannesburg-based, QCTO- and Services SETA-accredited training provider (Accreditation No. 12582), is expanding its panel of freelance Facilitators and Assessors in three areas: Office Administration, Management and Supervision, and End User Computing.
All programmes are delivered under the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO). We are recruiting on an ongoing basis for current and upcoming corporate cohorts, with appointments made per project for the duration of each programme.
We are recruiting across the following
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
- Occupational Certificate: Office Administrator - NQF 5 (SAQA ID 102161)
- Occupational Certificate: Management Assistant - NQF 5 (SAQA ID 101876)
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION
- Occupational Certificate: Office Supervisor - NQF 5 (SAQA ID 118740)
- Occupational Certificate: Project Manager - NQF 5 (SAQA ID 101869)
- Occupational Certificate: Retail Chain Store Manager - NQF 5 (SAQA ID 103150)
- National Occupational Certificate: Retail Supervisor - NQF 4 (SAQA ID 121316)
END USER COMPUTING - QCTO Occupational Skills Programmes
- Basic End User Computing - NQF 3, 30 credits (SP-240201)
- Intermediate End User Computing - NQF 4, 20 credits (SP-240202)
- Advanced End User Computing - NQF 5, 20 credits (SP-240203)

Duties & Responsibilities
FACILITATORS
- Facilitate the knowledge and practical skill modules in scheduled contact sessions, at client sites or at BOTI, Johannesburg
- Prepare session materials and plans aligned to the registered curriculum
- Maintain accurate attendance registers and facilitation records
- Conduct formative activities and monitor learner progress
- Provide learner support between contact sessions
- Liaise with BOTI's programme coordinator on scheduling and learner queries
ASSESSORS
- Conduct formative and summative assessment against the registered assessment criteria
- Compile, evaluate and sign off learner Portfolios of Evidence
- Provide constructive feedback and manage re-assessment where required
- Maintain assessment records to QCTO standards

Desired Experience & Qualification
FACILITATORS - as set out in the registered QCTO curriculum documents
End User Computing
- Basic (SP-240201): minimum NQF Level 4 qualification in Computer Application / Information and Communication Technology, plus a proven minimum of 3 years' practical experience in computer applications
- Intermediate (SP-240202): minimum NQF Level 5 qualification in Computer Application / Information and Communication Technology, plus a proven minimum of 3 years' practical experience in computer applications
- Advanced (SP-240203): minimum NQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Application / Information and Communication Technology, plus a proven minimum of 3 years' practical experience in computer applications
Office Administration, Supervision and Management
- A relevant qualification, plus a minimum of 3 years' industry experience in the field concerned - office management, office administration, secretarial or personal assistant work, project management, or retail supervision or store management
ASSESSORS - as set out in the registered QCTO Assessment Specifications
- Office Administrator (102161): NQF Level 6 Business Administration related qualification, plus 3 years' experience in the administration field
- Office Supervisor (118740): NQF Level 6 office management qualification, plus 5 years' experience in an office environment, and a recognised assessor's certificate
- Management Assistant (101876): NQF Level 6 secretarial or personal assistant related qualification, plus 5 years' experience in that field
An assessment qualification is required, and membership of a SAQA-recognised professional body in the relevant field is expected.
ALL APPLICANTS
- Minimum 2 years' experience facilitating adult learners in a corporate or accredited environment
- Own reliable transport, and based in or able to travel within Gauteng
- Own laptop and reliable internet, for virtual delivery
- Professional presentation and confidence working with corporate clients
CREDENTIALS
- Facilitators: Unit Standard 117871, Facilitate learning using a variety of given methodologies
- Assessors: Unit Standard 115753, Conduct outcomes-based assessment, and current registration as an assessor with the QCTO or the relevant SETA
ADVANTAGEOUS
- Registration with Services SETA or MICT SETA. MICT SETA is the Development Quality Partner for the End User Computing skills programmes
- Unit Standard 115759, Conduct moderation of outcomes-based assessments
- Microsoft Office Specialist certification, for End User Computing applicants
- Experience delivering QCTO occupational qualifications and skills programmes
Package & Remuneration
Market-related daily facilitation rate, paid per SLA for the duration of each assignment. Assessment is remunerated per learner or per portfolio, by agreement.
