Duties & Responsibilities

Our client, an international impact-investing and asset management organisation, is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their growing Finance team in Cape Town.

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with 2–4 years of experience to gain exposure to Group-wide budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with the FP&A Manager and various business units, supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial insights to senior management.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Prepare monthly financial reporting, closing analytics and variance analysis.

• Provide management commentary and insights on financial performance.

• Maintain KPI dashboards and management reporting packs.

• Support annual budgeting, mid-term planning and rolling forecast cycles.

• Consolidate financial data and perform quality checks and analysis.

• Maintain and update forecasting models and planning templates.

• Support the preparation of Board and Executive Committee reporting materials.

• Manage the FP&A reporting calendar and ensure deadlines are met.

• Liaise with business units to obtain and validate financial information.

• Standardise reporting templates, processes and controls.

• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline FP&A processes.

• Maintain data quality and reporting templates within the Vena FP&A platform .

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field .

• 2–4 years’ relevant finance experience .

• Experience in FP&A, financial reporting, management accounting or business analysis .

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Willingness and ability to become a power user of Vena or a similar FP&A/EPM platform.

Advantageous

• Experience with Vena, Anaplan, Jedox or similar EPM/FP&A systems .

• Power BI or other BI/reporting experience.

• Financial services, investment or asset management experience.

• Progress towards ACCA, CIMA, CFA or equivalent .

• French language skills
