- An ABET NQF 3 or equivalent qualification. No experience required. Knowledge of propagation methods, record keeping, and Supervisory. Knowledge of operating a computer.
Duties
- Conduct production activities in line with the operational plans. Allocate task to labourers as per production sheet.
- Check seedlings and plants for pests and diseases.
- Ensure harvesting activities. Prepare fire breaks. Oversee the maintenance of the plantation, and woodlots. Weed control.
- Watering and fertilising the plants. Render general support functions. Conduct stocktaking. Provide training and development to staff.
Candidate Profile
- Sound organising and planning skills. Good communication written and verbal, interpersonal, problem solving and numerical skills.
- Ability to work with difficult people. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to work with limited supervision.
