This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality residential projects, leading site teams and ensuring construction activities are completed safely, efficiently and according to programme.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification matric
- 5+ years’ experience as a Foreman within the construction industry specialising in residential building construction
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing and site operations
- Experience supervising subcontractors, artisans and general labour
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of quality control and snagging procedures
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements on construction sites
- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site
- Manage subcontractors, artisans and labour teams
- Ensure construction activities are completed according to drawings, specifications and project programmes
- Monitor workmanship and maintain required quality standards
- Coordinate construction sequences and ensure work progresses according to programme
- Conduct regular inspections and identify and resolve construction issues
- Monitor site productivity and workforce performance
- Ensure materials, plant and equipment are available when required
- Assist with site planning and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
