Foreman Metal Coffins (Bloemfontein)

Description

• Responsible for the Metal coffin / equipment production or repairs.
• Schedule production based on inventory and order levels on a daily basis and reconcile weekly.
• See to it that resources labour, machinery, equipment, materials are optimally planned for and utilised.
• Establish quality standards in conjunction with the quality department and check that standards are adhered to in production.
• All raw material and work in progress is to be stored appropriately and accounted for during stock takes.
• Manage the production of prototypes of metal products in collaboration with Specialist: Technical and Product Development / Manager operations
• Co-ordinate all repairs of equipment and provide schedules for completion.
• Responsible for overseeing the total workforce in manufacturing unit.
• See to it that discipline is maintained, and staff work according to Policies and Procedures.
• Take care that timekeeping by staff is monitored and appropriate action is taken where personnel are delinquent.
• Plan training of new incumbents and existing workforce to ensure proficiency.
• Compile production statistics and report to the Operations Manager on a daily and weekly basis.
• Provide quotations for ad-hoc repairs and requests.
• Order raw material from stores to meet production needs as well as external suppliers for ad-hoc requests.
• Account for raw material that was received and consumed in the monthly stock count process.
• Serves on Safety Committee as a representative of management.
• Ensure that all staff are issued and use the correct and appropriate PPE.
• Follow all the company SHE policies and procedures

Requirements

• Matric
• Qualified Artisan
• 5 Years in Manufacturing environment.
• 3 years Foreman expierience
