- We are seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman to lead our automotive workshop operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising technicians, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining productivity targets, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage workshop activities efficiently while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations.
- Manage and support a team of technicians and apprentices.
- Allocate work effectively to maximise workshop productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed according to manufacturer and quality standards.
- Conduct quality control inspections on completed work.
- Diagnose and assist with complex technical faults when required.
- Monitor workshop performance and ensure achievement of labour and productivity targets.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Support service advisors and management with technical guidance and customer-related concerns.
- Identify training and development needs within the workshop team.
- Manage workshop equipment, tools, and resources effectively.
- Assist with warranty processes and ensure accurate job documentation.
Requirements Minimum Requirements
- Qualified Motor Technician with a recognised trade qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' automotive workshop experience FORD experience preferred
- Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and technical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with workshop management systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
