FMCG LOGISTICS MANAGER - Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, within the FMCG or a similar industry.
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Manager with strong leadership skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Strong English and Afrikaans communication skills are essential. A third language would be advantageous but is not essential. Spice manufacturing company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Experience in planning and coordinating daily routes for approximately 12 trucks and drivers
- Experience covering Johannesburg, East Rand, West Rand, Pretoria, Mpumalanga and Vaal areas
- Tracking and monitoring vehicles
- Planning and coordinating daily order collections by courier/transport companies and liaising with them accordingly
- Liaising daily with the Warehouse and Stock Controller regarding deliveries and stock
- Responsible for monitoring and controlling all company vehicles, including licensing, servicing and general maintenance
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage drivers firmly but fairly
- Must have a calm, flexible and confident personality and be able to take charge in a high-pressure environment
- Own reliable transport is essential
- Preferably based within approximately 20km of the workplace, CITY DEEP
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, within the FMCG or a similar industry
- Pastel Evolution experience would be advantageous
- Computer literate with good Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Strong English and Afrikaans communication skills are essential.
- A third language would be advantageous but is not essential
Package & Remuneration
Working hours: Monday to Friday (hours to be discussed) with occasional weekend work when required
Salary: R25,000 – R35,000 CTC, depending on experience
Provident Fund: Compulsory after 6 months
Starting date: Immediately
