Are you a commercially driven Key Account Manager who thrives on building strong client relationships and delivering operational excellence?
This is an exciting opportunity to manage high-value FMCG accounts within a dynamic logistics environment, taking ownership of commercial performance, contract management, budgeting, and client relationships.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to drive efficiency, deliver against KPIs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and create long-term value for both the client and the business. Duties & Responsibilities
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / Matric qualification
- Practical experience with advanced budgeting and ABC costing
- Relevant tertiary qualification or degree
- Between 5 and 10 years’ experience in operations, logistics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage changing business requirements and priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong leadership, relationship-building, and people management skills
- Ability and willingness to travel when required
- Valid own transport is essential
DUTIES
- Lead the annual review and renewal of client contracts, ensuring all requirements are addressed.
- Prepare, manage, and regularly review budgets tailored to individual client requirements.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the client and the Consumer business.
- Build and maintain effective client relationships while ensuring agreed service levels are met.
- Plan and facilitate regular monthly performance meetings and client reviews.
- Ensure operational costs remain aligned with established cost-to-serve models.
- Assist with the implementation and integration of newly acquired client accounts.
- Review and authorise monthly invoices in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve productivity, and increase operational efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance, including P&L results, against agreed KPIs and targets.
- Work collaboratively with clients to identify and deliver opportunities for joint value creation.
- Oversee contract amendments, financial adjustments, and reconciliation or true-up activities.
- Evaluate, review, and negotiate contractual terms with existing and prospective clients.
- Identify potential new business opportunities and contribute to client acquisition and growth.
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
