Introduction

About the Position

MPI Holdings is seeking an experienced Fleet & Tracking Administrator to join our Tracking Department in Benoni.

The successful candidate will primarily support our collision avoidance and fleet tracking solutions and will be responsible for fleet administration, system reporting, geofencing and notification configuration, customer support, online system training and investigation support.

This position requires an individual with strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail and proven experience working with vehicle tracking and telematics systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date fleet information across tracking and telematics platforms.
  • Compiling, checking and distributing fleet and system reports.
  • Configuring and managing geofencing zones, notifications and system alert rules.
  • Providing day-to-day customer support relating to vehicle tracking and collision avoidance systems.
  • Assisting customers with the navigation and effective use of tracking software.
  • Conducting online system training and demonstrations for customers.
  • Providing software-based investigation support relating to vehicle movements, incidents, collisions and near-miss events.
  • Liaising directly with customers to resolve queries and escalating technical matters where required.
  • Supporting customer compliance-related activities.
  • Travelling to customer sites when required for in-person system support, training and compliance activities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years' relevant experience working with vehicle tracking and/or telematics software. This is an essential and non-negotiable requirement.
  • Previous experience in fleet administration.
  • Practical experience with geofencing, system notifications and alert configuration.
  • Proven customer support experience.
  • Strong reporting and data-management capabilities.
  • A high level of computer literacy and the ability to confidently work with software-based systems and system configuration.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites when required.

  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and operational teams.

Advantageous

  • Previous experience within the mining industry.
  • Experience supporting collision avoidance, vehicle tracking or similar fleet technology solutions.
  • Previous exposure to software-based vehicle movement or incident investigations.
