Do you thrive on keeping operations running smoothly, managing assets effectively, and driving cost efficiencies? We're looking for a Fleet Manager to join our dynamic team at KFC Rohloff Group. In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end management, governance, compliance, optimization, and coordination of our vehicle portfolio, including company-owned, rental, and pool vehicles. You will serve as the central point of accountability for all fleet-related activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, cost-effective utilization, accurate record-keeping, and operational excellence throughout the vehicle lifecycle.

What You'll Be Cooking Up

Fleet Governance & Administration

  • Manage and maintain accurate fleet records, policies, and vehicle documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, legal requirements, and fleet governance standards.
  • Oversee vehicle tracking systems, fleet databases, and reporting accuracy.

Vehicle Allocation & Employee Administration

  • Coordinate vehicle allocations, transfers, and returns across the business.
  • Administer company vehicle agreements and ensure adherence to vehicle policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vehicle-related employee queries and support.

Fleet Cost Management & Optimization

  • Monitor fleet expenditure and identify opportunities to reduce operational costs.
  • Analyze utilization trends and recommend improvements to maximize fleet efficiency.
  • Track and report on key fleet performance indicators and cost-saving initiatives.

Vehicle Acquisition & Disposal Management

  • Manage the procurement, onboarding, and disposal of vehicles.
  • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely vehicle delivery and replacement planning.
  • Monitor vehicle lifecycle performance and replacement schedules.

Insurance, Licensing & Compliance

  • Oversee all insurance administration, claims management, and policy renewals.
  • Ensure vehicles remain licensed, roadworthy, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage vehicle-related compliance audits and risk mitigation initiatives.

Fuel Card & Maintenance Management

  • Administer fuel card allocation, monitoring, and reconciliation processes.
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure service providers meet agreed standards and turnaround times.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare fleet reports, dashboards, and management insights.
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify performance improvement opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making and budget management.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vehicle suppliers, insurers, and service providers.
  • Manage supplier contracts and service-level agreements.
  • Ensure effective communication and resolution of fleet-related issues.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Diploma or Degree in: Logistics, Fleet Management, Supply Chain Management,
  • Business Management, Finance Operations Management, Or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in Fleet Management or Transportation Management.
  • Experience managing multi-site vehicle fleets.
  • Proven experience in vehicle acquisition, maintenance, insurance, licensing, and compliance administration.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and vehicle lifecycle management.
  • Experience in cost analysis, reporting, and fleet optimization initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of asset management principles.
  • Knowledge of payroll and tax-related fleet compliance processes is advantageous.
  • Experience managing suppliers, contracts, and service providers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of South African fleet legislation, compliance requirements, and tax regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
