Job Title: Fleet Manager Start Date: 2026-07-27 - 2026-08-08 Vacancy Type: Permanent JHB008115 Sectors: Admin, Office & Support Logistics Services / Operations Location: Gauteng , JHB - Southern Suburbs Salary: R 40 000 - R 45000 Brief: Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a fleet of approximately 70 company vehicles . This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual who has a solid understanding of motor vehicles and fleet administration. The successful candidate will combine strong mechanical knowledge with excellent reporting and administrative skills to ensure the fleet remains compliant, cost-effective, and operational at all times. Detail: Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain a fleet of approximately 70 company vehicles. Ensure all vehicle licences, licence discs, insurance policies, and related documentation are current and compliant. Conduct daily inspections of vehicles to ensure they are roadworthy, well-maintained, and in good working condition. Identify potential mechanical issues by carrying out basic vehicle checks, including under-bonnet inspections, and arrange repairs where required. Liaise with service providers, dealerships, and repair workshops to coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs. Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure preventative maintenance is completed on time. Analyse and report on fleet-related costs, including fuel expenditure, maintenance costs, and insurance. Prepare accurate Excel reports and provide management with fleet performance and cost analysis. Maintain accurate fleet records and ensure all documentation is up to date. Ensure company vehicles comply with all legal and safety requirements. Minimum Requirements: Proven experience managing a corporate vehicle fleet. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify potential vehicle issues (hands-on repair experience is not required). Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, licensing, and insurance administration. Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to compile and analyse reports. Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Valid driver's licence. Ideal Background: This role is not suited to candidates from a transport or logistics operations background.
