• Perform mechanical fitting, assembly, installation and maintenance. • Operate conventional lathes, milling machines and workshop equipment . • Read and interpret engineering drawings. • Manufacture, modify and repair mechanical components. • Perform turning, milling, drilling and fitting work. • Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet specifications. • Conduct mechanical fault-finding and repairs. • Assist with equipment installation and commissioning. • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping. REQUIREMENTS
• Red Seal Trade Certificate Fitter & Turner (Mandatory). • 35+ years' relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. • Strong conventional turning and milling experience. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. • Experience with precision measuring instruments. • Strong mechanical fitting and troubleshooting skills. • Good knowledge of machining processes and engineering materials. ADVANTAGEOUS
- Experience with valves, pumps, flow-control equipment or heavy engineering .
- CNC machining experience.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
- Experience working to tight machining tolerances.
