Are you an experienced Fire & Wet Services Engineer looking to work on innovative commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed-use developments? We are seeking a skilled engineer to join a dynamic consulting engineering team, where you'll play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality fire protection and wet services systems for a diverse portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop fire protection and wet services systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential, and institutional projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Design fire protection systems including:
- Automatic sprinkler systems
- Hydrant and hose reel systems
- Fire pumps and pump rooms
- Water storage tanks
- Fire detection system coordination
- Smoke control interface coordination
- Design wet services systems including:
- Domestic cold and hot water reticulation
- Sanitary drainage and sewer systems
- Stormwater drainage
- Rainwater harvesting systems
- Water storage and booster systems
- Coordinate multidisciplinary designs with Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Architectural teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant South African National Standards (SANS), municipal regulations, and building codes.
- Attend design coordination meetings, client meetings, and site inspections.
- Review shop drawings and contractor submissions.
- Provide construction support during installation, testing, commissioning, and project close-out.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians where required.
Minimum Requirements
- BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Fire Protection and Wet Services design within a consulting engineering environment.
- Experience delivering building services projects from concept through construction.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
Advantageous
- Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng), or eligibility to register.
- Experience with Green Building initiatives and sustainable water management.
- Experience working on large commercial, healthcare, data centre, industrial, or mixed-use developments.
