• Design fire detection, suppression and kitchen ventilation systems for new builds and refurbishments. • Manage the design process from concept through to completion. • Issue Form 2 and Form 4 documentation to local authorities as the appointed Competent Person. • Manage, verify and issue Certificates of Conformity for LPG, fire and mechanical ventilation installations. • Ensure designs and installations comply with SANS standards and local municipal fire regulations. • Define LPG and kitchen extraction infrastructure requirements. • Conduct site visits to assess fire safety risks and troubleshoot HVAC and ventilation faults. • Manage fire safety capital projects from tender through to final commissioning, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. • Work closely with architects, draughtspersons and local authorities. Requirements
• BEng, BSc (Eng) or BTech in Mechanical Engineering. • Active ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist (PR Eng / PR Tech Eng) essential. • Minimum 5 years' experience in fire protection design and industrial ventilation. • Proficiency in CAD or Revit for infrastructure layouts. • Strong knowledge of the National Building Regulations and Building Standards Act. • Willingness to travel internationally as required. **ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED**
