• Design fire protection systems in line with SANS, ASIB, NFPA and FM standards • Develop sprinkler, rational fire and smoke ventilation designs • Apply SANS 10400-T , BS 7974 and relevant international standards • Carry out ASET/RSET assessments and performance-based fire designs • Produce drawings and designs using AutoCAD, Revit and FHC Canute • Work across ECSA Stages 16 , including tenders, procurement and site inspections • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and provide technical support during construction Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 3 5 years of experience • Strong knowledge of SANS standards , particularly SANS 10400-T • Experience with sprinkler and fire protection design • Knowledge of rational fire engineering and smoke ventilation • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit ; FHC Canute experience is advantageous • HVAC experience would be an added advantage, but is not essential Qualification:
• Degree/BTech in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field • ECSA registration or eligibility for registration is advantageous Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
