- Analyse and report on AWS cloud spend, consumption, trends, variances, anomalies and cost drivers across accounts, workloads, applications and environments
- Support cloud budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cost impact assessments , including migration, architecture and workload changes
- Manage AWS cost allocation and tagging , improving attribution of spend to applications, owners, business units, projects and cost centres
- Identify and support AWS cost optimisation , including rightsizing, underutilised resources, non-production scheduling, storage, networking, backup and managed services
- Analyse Savings Plans, Reserved Instances and Spot usage , monitoring commitments and supporting commercial optimisation decisions
- Support FinOps governance , including budgets, alerts, anomaly detection, cost exceptions, policies and cost-aware cloud operations
- Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Architecture and Business/Application teams to drive cost accountability and informed decisions
- Use AWS cost management and reporting tools for analysis and reporting
Key Requirements
- Relevant qualification in IT, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing or related field
- Substantial experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, cloud operations, IT infrastructure, IT finance, TBM or related analytics
- Practical AWS cloud and billing/cost management experience
- Strong understanding of cloud pricing, cost allocation, tagging, budgeting, forecasting and optimisation
- Experience with AWS cost reporting and data analysis , including Power BI, Excel, SQL or similar
- Understanding of AWS cost drivers across compute, storage, databases, networking, backup and managed services
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- FinOps/AWS certification advantageous
