Our client is an established national financial advisory and wealth management organization committed to providing client-centric financial planning and investment support across South Africa.
Located at the regional office in George, Western Cape, the Financial Planning Partner Assistant oversees all administrative, operational, and client service support for Financial Planning Partners. This position acts as the crucial operational bridge between the advisory practice, product providers, regional management, and head office.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end client service support, including handling client queries, processing transactions, and managing ongoing maintenance.
- Collate client information (data discovery and fact-finding) and prepare documentation for advice engagements.
- Process and verify FICA and AML compliance documentation, ensuring accurate capture on digital platforms.
- Manage new business submissions, track underwriting processes, arrange client medicals, and follow up with product providers to confirm acceptance.
- Maintain accurate client records, notes, tasks, policy schedules, and portfolio data within Xplan and Astute.
- Prepare consolidated client review reports and documentation using internal systems.
- Oversee commission statement checking, manage commission suspense accounts, and follow up on outstanding practice fees.
- Provide general office management support, including meeting room coordination, reception duties, and marketing event logistics.
Requirements
- Matric qualification with a relevant tertiary qualification or industry-related courses.
- 2 to 3 years of administrative experience within the financial services or wealth management sector.
- Strong practical understanding of FAIS and FICA legislative frameworks.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), SharePoint, and financial databases like Astute.
- Advanced working knowledge of CRM systems, with direct experience in Xplan being essential.
