Introduction

Our client is seeking a driven and high-potential Financial Planning Analyst (CA(SA)) to join their dynamic finance team.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a recently qualified CA(SA) with up to two years of post-article experience and exposure to a commercial finance environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, and performance reporting.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, and enhance financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term planning models.
  • Analyse monthly financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Support business units with financial modelling, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and performance reports.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to drive financial and business performance.
  • Perform variance analysis and highlight key risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
  • Support strategic projects, investment appraisals, and business case evaluations.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and decision-making capabilities.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Qualified CA(SA) .
  • 1 to 2 years' post-article experience in a commercial finance, FP&A, financial analysis, or business partnering environment.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Sound understanding of management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting principles.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and translate findings into meaningful business insights.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to develop within a high-performance finance environment.
