Job Description

  • An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Financial Modeller to join a specialist infrastructure and project finance advisory team working on high-profile projects across South Africa and the broader African market
  • You'll play a key role in developing sophisticated financial models that support major infrastructure, energy, transport, water and PPP transactions, while working alongside experienced advisors, investors, lenders and project developers.
  • This role offers outstanding exposure to complex transactions and a clear pathway into broader transaction advisory and infrastructure finance

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain complex project finance and infrastructure financial models
  • Build greenfield models for infrastructure, energy, transport and PPP projects
  • Perform financial analysis, valuations, scenario modelling and feasibility assessments
  • Support transaction structuring, due diligence and capital raising processes
  • Prepare financial reports, investment analyses and presentations for clients and stakeholders
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful infrastructure transactions

What We're Looking For

  • Honours degree in Business Science Financial Mathematics, Statistics or Actuarial Science preferred, Finance, or an Engineering degree with strong financial capabilities
  • 3-5 years' experience in financial modelling, project finance, transaction advisory, corporate finance, valuations or investment analysis
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills and a strong understanding of corporate finance principles
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and commercial awareness
  • Experience in infrastructure or project finance is advantageous
