Financial Manager: Trading

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• CIMA or CASA qualification.
• Honours degree.
• 3 years relevant experience will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools e.g., Excel, Power BI.
• Exposure to financial management within the SADC region and international trade will be an advantage.
• Exposure to foreign currency and international payments will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Import and export trade.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Financial Manager plays a critical role in analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making within the business.
• This role involves close collaboration with various departments to optimize processes, improve productivity, and drive growth.
• Ensure the accuracy of monthly management accounts.
• Responsible for the timely closing of financial periods.
• Oversight of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Cash flow management and liquidity planning.
• Oversight of creditors, debtors, and inventory management.
• Support for the annual audit process.
• Ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
• Performance metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators KPI's to measure the efficiency of various trading entities.
• Forecasting: Use historical data and market insights to create accurate forecasts and assist with resource allocation and inventory management.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and automation opportunities.
• Budgeting and Financial Analysis: Assist with budget preparation, variance analysis, and financial modeling to ensure financial goals are met.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports and dashboards for management, providing insights and actionable recommendations.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities, and propose strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
