- Our client, a well-established organisation within the commercial printing and print production industry , is currently seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join their team in Wynberg, Johannesburg .
- The successful candidate will take responsibility for the organisation's overall financial function, providing strong financial oversight, supporting strategic business decisions and ensuring effective financial controls.
- This role will suit a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and experience within a fast-paced operational environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Financial Manager, Finance Manager or similar senior financial role .
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field will be advantageous but is not essential.
- Previous experience within the printing, manufacturing or production environment will be highly advantageous.
- Sound understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and applicable financial legislation .
- Strong working knowledge of Pastel Evolution .
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Solid experience with budgets, forecasts, financial planning and financial analysis .
Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Take overall responsibility for the effective management and administration of the company's financial function.
- Develop and maintain financial processes and controls that support the organisation's operational and commercial objectives.
- Assist senior management with financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Monitor the company's financial position and provide recommendations where required.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Compile and review monthly management accounts, financial statements and other financial reports .
- Analyse financial results and provide management with meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Identify potential financial risks, trends and areas requiring corrective action.
Budgeting & Cost Management
- Coordinate the preparation and ongoing monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts .
- Monitor expenditure and identify opportunities to improve cost management.
- Review operational costs and assist with identifying areas where efficiencies can be achieved.
- Work closely with operational departments to ensure financial considerations are incorporated into business decisions.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure that financial processes and records remain compliant with relevant legislation, accounting standards and company policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist in identifying financial risks and implementing appropriate controls.
Management Support
- Provide financial guidance and support to management and other departments.
- Translate financial information into clear and practical business insights.
- Work collaboratively with different departments to improve financial and operational performance.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial processes and business efficiencies.
