This role is ideal for a finance professional with exceptional technical accounting expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial processes across multiple entities. The successful candidate will oversee the full finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, month-end excellence, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement. Experience within the financial services or stockbroking industry will be highly advantageous. Detail: Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Month-End Reporting Manage the full month-end close process across multiple local and offshore entities. Prepare and post month-end journals, accruals and reconciliations. Process intercompany transactions and monthly invoicing. Prepare depreciation, prepaid expense and fixed asset schedules. Perform IFRS-related accounting entries, including lease accounting. Calculate and process proprietary trading and investment-related financial movements. Prepare monthly management accounts and executive reporting packs. Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely delivery of all financial reporting. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance Prepare and submit VAT, income tax and other statutory tax returns. Perform tax calculations and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Monitor legislative changes and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable financial regulations. Maintain accurate supporting documentation for all statutory submissions. Group Finance & Intercompany Accounting Manage intercompany transactions, loan accounts, receivables and payables. Prepare transfer pricing calculations and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities. Ensure consistency of financial information between local and international operations. Audit & Financial Statements Coordinate annual external audits across all entities. Prepare audit files, reconciliations and supporting schedules. Draft annual financial statements. Liaise with external auditors and resolve audit queries efficiently. Ensure all audit deliverables are completed within agreed deadlines. Treasury & Operational Finance Manage banking activities, including payment authorisation and cash flow monitoring. Maintain strong financial controls over banking and payment processes. Prepare daily financial reports and operational dashboards. Monitor daily finance operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Systems, Process Improvement & Projects Drive continuous improvement within the finance function. Develop and enhance financial reporting systems and management accounting tools. Identify opportunities to automate financial processes and improve efficiencies. Lead finance-related projects, system implementations and workflow enhancements. Support business initiatives by providing financial analysis and process recommendations. Business Support Provide financial support and guidance to operational teams and senior management. Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses. Assist with strategic financial initiatives as required. Minimum Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance. Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accountant role. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS. Experience managing multiple entities will be advantageous. Financial services or stockbroking industry experience is highly beneficial. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP platforms. Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills. Strong understanding of taxation and statutory compliance. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
