Key Responsibilities Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate forecasting activities to support business planning. Manage the full accounting function, ensuring compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and company policies. Prepare monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and executive financial reports. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital while optimising debtors, creditors, and inventory. Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to support commercial decision-making. Partner with operational leaders to improve business performance and identify cost-saving opportunities. Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with tax legislation and financial controls. Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to deliver high performance. Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification will be advantageous. Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Manager or in a senior finance leadership role. Previous experience within the mining, engineering, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors is highly advantageous. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Experience leading finance teams and implementing process improvements. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African financial legislation. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, Syspro, or similar. Strong analytical, financial modelling, and management reporting capabilities. Personal Attributes Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Commercial acumen with strategic thinking capability. Proven leadership and people management skills.
