Job Description

• Our client, based in the Sibaya precinct, is seeking a newly qualified CA(SA) to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management and reporting functions of the business. The successful candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting and compliance, and manage a team of three finance staff members.

• This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified CA(SA) looking to gain practical financial management and leadership experience in a hands-on role.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and accounting functions.

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.

• Analyse financial results and investigate variances against budget.

• Ensure accurate financial records, reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

• Maintain effective internal financial controls and accounting procedures.

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax legislation and statutory requirements.

• Coordinate the annual audit and liaise with external auditors.

• Monitor working capital, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies.

• Manage, support and develop a team of three finance staff members.

• Provide financial information and analysis to support management decision-making.

Minimum Requirements

• Newly qualified CA(SA) - essential.

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Exposure to ERP or financial accounting systems.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage deadlines and work accurately under pressure.

• Willingness to take a hands-on approach to financial management and team leadership.
