Start free — we apply for you →- An established manufacturing business based in Klerksdorp is looking for an experienced Financial Manager to oversee the finance function at its factory.
- This is a hands-on role suited to someone who understands the financial requirements of a manufacturing environment and is confident managing the full finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day finance function and finance team
- Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial reports
- Oversee reconciliations, journals, debtors, creditors and payment processes
- Manage VAT, PAYE, Customs and other statutory tax requirements
- Analyse costs, pricing, margins and actual performance against budget
- Maintain effective financial controls, accounting procedures and fixed asset records
- Manage external audits and ensure statutory compliance
- Provide management with accurate financial information and meaningful business analysis
- Oversee banking, foreign exchange, supplier and other financial processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Financial Manager or senior finance role
- Strong manufacturing environment experience – essential
- Solid financial and accounting knowledge with strong reporting and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
- Experience managing and motivating a finance team
- Strong knowledge of reconciliations, journals, AP / AR and statutory requirements
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving ability
- Able to work independently, under pressure adhering to tight deadlines
- A hands-on, professional and commercially minded approach
