This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional reporting and take ownership of the financial performance of a high-volume, operational business where your decisions directly support the delivery of quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the financial performance of designated operational business units.
- Partner with operational and clinical leadership to drive financial performance and profitability.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Analyse monthly financial results and provide actionable insights to management.
- Monitor revenue, costs, margins and key operational performance indicators.
- Identify financial risks, inefficiencies and opportunities for improved performance.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance across the business.
- Oversee month-end processes, reporting and balance sheet integrity.
- Provide financial guidance and support to operational stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor and develop members of the finance team.
Job Experience and Skills Required Education:
• CA(SA) non-negotiable Experience:
• Minimum 35 years post-articles experience. • Experience in a Financial Manager / Operational Finance / Business Partnering capacity. • Strong commercial and operational finance exposure. • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. • Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders. • Healthcare experience would be advantageous. • Experience managing and developing a finance team. Skills:
• Advanced Microsoft Excel. • Strong ERP and financial reporting systems exposure. • Excellent analytical and commercial acumen. • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. • Ability to translate financial information into practical business decisions. Non-negotiable:
