Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full financial function of the hospital.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Oversee debtors, creditors, payroll, supplier payments, and cost control.
• Ensure VAT, PAYE, statutory compliance, and financial governance.
• Assist with audits and the preparation of financial statements.
• Implement and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
• Develop cost models and provide weekly and monthly management reporting.

Industry Experience

• Previous experience within a hospital, healthcare, or medical environment is highly preferred.
• Exposure to medical billing and practice management systems such as GoodX will be advantageous.

Technical Requirements

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Experience using accounting and financial management software.
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
• Exposure to reporting dashboards or business intelligence tools is advantageous.

Reporting & KPI Management

• Deliver weekly and monthly financial performance reports.
• Monitor revenue by doctor and department.
• Analyse theatre performance and cost per case.
• Manage debtors ageing, collections, and cash flow.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
• Support management with accurate, data-driven financial insights.

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting (essential).
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), SAIPA or SAIBA) advantageous.
• 510 years relevant Financial Management experience.
• Reports directly to the Director and works closely with Operations and Billing teams.
