Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Prepare and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Analyse financial results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key variances.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
• Assist with strategic planning and financial modelling initiatives.

Plant Finance & Operations

• Act as the finance business partner to plant and operational management teams.
• Monitor and report on manufacturing costs, production efficiencies, and plant performance.
• Analyse labour, material, and overhead costs and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure accurate allocation and control of manufacturing overheads.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports.
• Develop and maintain management dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Present financial performance reports to senior management.

Financial Control

• Maintain strong internal controls and adherence to company policies.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Assist with audit requirements and statutory compliance.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial information.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) (essential).
• Approximately 2 years post-articles experience .

Experience

• Experience within Manufacturing or FMCG environments is essential.
• Strong exposure to plant finance and operational finance.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Experience analysing manufacturing costs and overheads.
• Exposure to business partnering with operational stakeholders.

Systems & Technical Skills

• SAP experience is non-negotiable.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
• Pivot Tables
• VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Complex formulas
• Data modelling
• Financial reporting and analysis

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
