Requirements
- A degree or undergraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualifications or equivalent practical experience will be advantageous
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a financial accounting or bookkeeping environment.
- Proven practical experience in:
- Debtors and creditors
- Cashbook processing and reconciliations
- VAT
- Inventory accounting and reconciliations
- Experience working with an ERP/accounting system is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate debtors and creditors records.
- Process and reconcile customer and supplier accounts.
- Perform cashbook processing and reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform inventory reconciliations.
- Process accounting transactions accurately and timeously.
- Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with financial reporting and provide relevant information to management when required.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and accounting procedures.
