This role is ideally suited to a qualified accounting professional who is looking to build a long-term career within a growing business and become an integral part of the leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all financial functions of the dealership while partnering closely with operational teams to drive profitability, efficiency, and sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Dealership Finance Manager with a solid finance qualification, strong technical accounting expertise, and proven experience using Drive, ADP, or Kerridge. They must be capable of independently managing the dealership's finance department and ensuring accurate, timely month-end reporting. Prior dealership Finance Manager experience is essential. Detail: Responsibilities: Financial Management Assume full financial management responsibility for the dealership Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and controls Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management Management Accounts & Reporting Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports Analyse financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunities Present financial information and performance insights to management Budgeting, Forecasting & Cashflow Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts Monitor and manage cash flow requirements Provide financial planning support to operational management Ensure effective working capital management Debtors, Creditors & Banking Oversee debtors and creditors functions Manage bank reconciliations and cash controls Monitor collections and payment processes to maintain healthy cash flow Payroll & Statutory Compliance Manage payroll processing and associated controls Ensure timely submission of all statutory returns and obligations Maintain compliance with labour, tax, and regulatory requirements Tax & Compliance Manage VAT submissions and reconciliations Oversee tax compliance and related reporting requirements Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory obligations Audit & Stakeholder Management Liaise with external auditors, banks, insurers, and other stakeholders Coordinate year-end audit requirements Ensure accurate and complete supporting documentation Internal Controls & Process Improvement Maintain and strengthen financial controls across the business Identify process improvements and cost-saving initiatives Minimise financial risk through effective governance and compliance Business Partnering Support sales, service, parts, and operational departments with financial insights and guidance Work closely with management teams to improve profitability and operational performance Assist in evaluating commercial opportunities and business decisions Minimum Requirements: Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles will be advantageous Professional membership (SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA, ACCA, or similar) advantageous Experience 3-7 years' relevant financial management experience Experience within a motor dealership essential Strong knowledge of South African tax, VAT, payroll, and statutory requirements Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with dealership management systems and accounting software Motor Industry experience Essential!!
